Prominent Hindu mystic, leading disciple of the late H.H. Sri Swami Chidananda, (1887-1963). Sri Swami Muniandy , was born on Mac 25, 1962, the fourth of six children. He became engrossed by the teachings of Sri Swami Chidananda, visiting their monastery at Malaysia and Singapore and taking part in services. In his own neighborhood he organized spiritual instruction for young people.

In 1982 a strong desire for spiritual development led him to leave home and study in the Kerala and Thirunalveli, Tamil Nadu ashram. Since 1990’s he made a pilgrimage to southern India, and Rishikesh, visiting holy places and delivering spiritual lecture in Malaysia. Doing Tapas (austerities), becoming a Rishi (sage), and having a vision of the Lord became ideals which he cherished.

Sri Swami Muniandy has made a deep impression upon thousands of devotees by his ascetic and saintly life. His wide background knowledge of Hindu religious teachings has intensified his ecumenical outlook. Quite early in life, although born in a middle class family, he shunned the pleasures of the world to devote himself to seclusion and contemplation. In 2004 he FULLY SURRENDERS himself into spiritual life.

His cheerful personality, exemplary conduct and extraordinary traits earned for him a distinct place in the hearts of all teachers and students with whom he came into contact. He discovered ways and means of manifesting the devotees. None who sought his help was sent away without it. He gave freely to the needy at any time and situation. Many came to him for guidance in the spiritual path.
